Richard van Gaelen

Richard is a born and raised Amsterdammer with a deep passion and dedication for the real estate and appraisal profession. He has been working at Scholten Makelaars since 1991. Initially, he managed administrative and technical operations for various homeowner associations, which gave him extensive knowledge of construction and property management.
Richard lives in Amsterdam, and outside of work, his family is very important to him. He is loyal, highly experienced, and reliable, known for his expertise and decisiveness. But above all, he embodies the warm and lively spirit of a true Amsterdammer.
Priscilla van Heijningen
Real estate Manager Rental & Foreign
With a degree in Communication, Priscilla began her career as a Project Manager in the international research industry before working as a Marketing Manager at Mercedes-Benz. In 2006, she made the transition to the real estate sector and has been working part-time at Scholten Makelaars BV ever since.
Within our organization, she is involved in various departments, primarily focusing on rental management and international real estate.

In 1992, I started working at my father’s office as a summer employee. That’s where my affinity for Amsterdam real estate began, eventually leading to a full-time career. After completing my studies as a real estate agent and appraiser and gaining several years of experience, I took over the business from my father in 2003.
My passion for real estate has grown into a full-fledged hobby, but I still make time to stay active and enjoy life with my wife and two daughters. I’m incredibly grateful to work with a fantastic team, helping our clients with a wide range of real estate challenges.
Salvador Toornend
Candidate Broker/Appraiser o.g.
Salvador’s passion for real estate and love for the profession began at a young age, inspired by his family. He started his career at Scholten Makelaars in the Homeowners’ Association (VvE) Management department, where he developed extensive technical knowledge of Amsterdam’s housing market.
It soon became clear that his true passion lay in real estate brokerage. He pursued a K-RMT certification, making him a well-rounded professional in the property market. As a true Amsterdammer, he knows the city like the back of his hand and feels completely at home in his field. With great enthusiasm, he welcomes you to a viewing—whether you’re buying or selling!
Sacha Gunther
Office Manager
Sacha discovered her passion for real estate at an early age when she took on a part-time job at a local real estate agency. After completing her studies, she started working at an office in our beautiful capital. According to her, Amsterdam is the ultimate “place to be” to learn all the ins and outs of the real estate profession.
Now, Sacha manages our back office while also pursuing her certification as a real estate agent and appraiser!
